  • To begin studying the Bible, pick any chapter and start reading that chapter. Then stop and contemplate what you just read and how it might apply to your life. Don't just read for quantity. 

    1. Many people will say to start in the book of John as it is considered the love chapter of the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). Then read 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Acts, Matthew, and then the rest of the New Testament.

    2. Or you can start by daily reading one Psalm and one Proverb. Once you have read through Psalms and Proverbs, move forward to the Gospel of John and the rest of the New Testament.

  • Julie often references scriptures from the New King James and the Amplified Classic versions*.

    The various Bible versions write the scriptures in slightly different ways, so everyone needs to pick a version that ministers and works best for them.

    Julie has recommended the Amplified Classic available through KCM.

    *Many publishers have changed some wording in newer copyrighted versions.
