DECREES & DECLARATIONS - WHAT ARE THEY AND HOW ARE THEY BIBLICAL?

WHAT IS A DECREE?

A decree is a Godly order to His people, what God commands us to do, Marching Orders from God.

WHAT IS A DECLARATION?

A declaration claims something by faith in the present tense, not yet manifested.
Romans 4:17 - calleth those things which be not as though they were. (KJV)

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

A decree is an official order in alignment with God’s Word. We receive decrees from the Holy Spirit and His Word (The Bible). Then, we, as His children, speak (declare) those official orders (decrees) out loud.

We are given all power and authority (Luke 10:19) as His children (Ps. 82:6). We are joint heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:17). We are part of His Body (Col. 1:18), and we go to the Father through Christ (John 14:6), who sits at His Right hand (Heb. 10:12).  

HOW IS THIS BIBLICAL?

John 14:12 - “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (NKJV)
Romans 4:17 - "...and calleth those things which be not as though they were." (KJV)
Job 22:28 - “You shall also decide and decree a thing and it shall be established for you.” (AMPC)
Jeremiah 1:12 - "...for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it." (AMP)
Luke 6:45 - "...for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks." (AMPC)
Deuteronomy 30:19 - "...that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life..." (KJV)
Proverbs 18:21 - "Death and life are in the power of the tongue..." (KJV)
